According to recent studies, it's found that more than 8 million American women are currently living with some form of heart related disease.and it is the leading cause of death of American women.

Prevention is the key to staying healthy. Heart disease in women can be diagnosed and treated but once a woman finds out that she has the disease, it may already be too late. It is very common that the first symptom is due to a stroke or heart attack.

Woman that have engaged in several risk factors throughout her lifetime will have contributed to her contracting the disease. Such risk factors that increase the risk include cigarette smoking, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, not being active, diabetes and obesity.

Heart disease causes half of all deaths within the United States each year and is the leading cause of death worldwide. While there are some factors that are uncontrollable, many factors contributing to heart disease are easily preventable by creating lifestyle changes.

High blood pressure is a major cause of heart disease, and high cholesterol greatly increases your chance of high blood pressure. To prevent high cholesterol, you need to avoid saturated fats found in red meats and dairy products such as cheese and butter. You’ll also need to avoid other foods containing high amounts of oils and fats. Fish and chicken are much healthier alternatives.
